Google ain't lettin me search! I was using SEO for Firefox, maybe that's got something to do with it...
Yes, it happened to me a couple of days ago. I was about 5 pages deep when it happened. However, you can hit the back button and search for another keyword/phrase and it works fine. But if this block starts happening more often, Google is going to lose legitimate search traffic. Yet another reason for us to work hard to get off of the supplemental index!
yeah cuz when it says google has like 2 billion search results, it really doesnt, its more like only 200 that they give you. then it stops......
If you just keep clicking page after page after page without really clicking on any sites then they'll hit you with that....So try clicking on more sites and not flipping through pages like a remote control.
umm, that's weird. never happened to me. i don't think seo firefox is responsable for it, because if that was the case maybe google would had banned you instead. did you live seo firefox on at all times?
IF you search for "guest books" you will get the message to when you start clicking Next Page, you get the message on about page 14 or soo... I think its becuase the query was abused or something. (Like Guestbook spamming)
Ive seen it before. Last time they did it was when the PHPBB worm NoSanity was going crazy. Someone developed a worm for a PHPBB exploit that gives a hacker root access to a server. The worm would infect machines, do a google search for "PHPBB 2.0.20" (or whatever the version was), infect that forum/server, and continue. Google helped stop this worm by stopping that search term. If a human tried to search that term they would get the message you just got. So im assuming there is something out there now that searches for those terms.
Well, many ideas come up from Google to stop spamming, worms and so on. Some will stay and some will be kicked off. May be they will found something better in the future. At least they try.
yah, damn that happened with twice me also. I think they are doing so to stop unusual and unimportant traffic.
