Yesterday I came across a strange thing. I accessed Microsoft’s Google cache i.e. cache:www.microsoft.com. As I entered this query in Google, I got a normal cached page. But as I clicked on the†Text Only Version†link at the top right corner of the page, instead of displaying the page only with the text, I was redirected to the Home page. My question is, why am I being redirected, I mean what’s the benefit of doing so? Also, Microsoft is using mouse over method to change the content of the page as the user hovers his mouse pointer over the tabs. Does this amount to penalization due to hidden text? Regards
