What the heck?? My domain is being sold somewhere else?

    may be by the previous owner, add this domain to your sedo portfolio. they might not instantly add it to your portfolio as it is already listed by another person. then email sedo after few days then they will check the whois and add it to your account

    Yea if you add it to your profile and changes your nameservers to theres, they will update your account (make you the rightful owner).

    It's probably not their fault, they probably owned the domain at one time.

    Yeah sometimes the prev-owner forgets to delete the domain from his/hers sedo list when domain expires.

    One of my client called and said the same thing - the domain he booked with me was being sold by another host.

    Client naturally got worried and I had to explain him that the domain name very much belong to him and he can verify it in his account.

    Its strange how some hosts claim that they have the domain and they openly sell those domains from their site.

    Had the same problem with 3 domains i wanted to purchase at sedo
    All of them didn't belong to the current owners

    They have possibly listed lots of domains they don't own, in the hope someone will make an offer on it, at which point they will try to contact you and buy it at a much lower price to resell.

    It's a simple scam ;)
