Just checked up on this thread again. Thanks for the last few replies as well, I'm learning a lot. However something I don't understand is this:
Why can I not ask appraisal for a domain I don't own? If anything, it would drive the price up with the 2-3 additional people that are now interested in purchasing the domain, but it's a risk I needed to take. Also, I didn't ask until our negotiations were over.

It's never fair when people attack without genuine cause. Good on you for being in college and following what you want to achieve in this world. Everyone has something different to contribute and anyone who has nothing but bad remarks show a need to let go of their own predudice. People have achieved their goals from all walks of life. Good luck in finding a domain, hope the next one is kinder to you (lol.)

Rude but what has your status as a student got to do with the price of a domain? I have a domain that someone has been trying to buy for some time, he tells me he isn't rich, drives an old car bla bla bla. If you want a domain you talk about what your willing to pay and what they are willing to sell it for. Anything to do with your personal income, status or worth has nothing to do with the negotiation process.

Thanks for the advice but this has already been addressed in the thread. I'm more concerned with the most recent question I posted.
