I have seen a fair few Rubbish Sites with high PR.. One was PR7 and was pure Rubbish..

That is why PR is now a dead system,, even Google are looking to dump it...

It is possible for a site with only 5 post to have PR3 because PR has nothing to do with content. A site can have high PR despite of the number of its post because PR is an algorithm for LINK analysis and not CONTENT analysis.

Is it true about Google dumping the Page Rank system?

I think a lot of people get too hyped up with Page Rankings (including myself at times) but I've seen page ranks of zero hit top spot for decent keywords before. If my page rank goes up then I will be really excited but honestly, the most important thing is hitting top spot for your best keywords.

Yes, I've also been looking up at these high PR sites, when often a couple of my sites have better content, but not the same number of backlinks... sigh
