Ok here's my story, I'm doing pretty good with a couple of "affiliate campaigns" all across the networks. I do this full time, and this is my job. I have a good 6 figures laying in the bank, and for the life of me don't know what I should be doing next. I have major trust issues, so I do almost everything myself(which I think is going to have to change). I only advertise with Adwords(No SEO, No YSM). YSM interface and slow traffic annoys the crap out of me. I just keep pushing more "affiliate programs" every day, and I still don't even feel I have adwords down pact. I don't know If I should start my own Product, my own CPA product, or just take my "successful" affiliate campaigns and start my own product in that niche. What the "H" Should I be doing next? Vene (Unless Super Experienced Marketer, NO PMS!)
Hi, Interesting question. Well you always need to expand your business. That's very important! If you had traffic conversion enabled with Adwords then you know exactly what keywords did convert to the sale. -So first you can look if your "money keywords" are worth doing SEO for. -You can enable statistic software so you try different headlines and see if your conversions go up or down. -You can try some video marketing or outsourcing that -And the list go on and on All you really need to do with a business like this is EXPAND it. More questions? Just shout. Dennis
You might consider developing a course or program in which people sign up to learn how you got to your current success level. There are a lot of people who know that there is a lot of opportunity in affiliate marketing but don't know really how to get started or build a successful business from it. You charge each subscriber a certain amount either per "class" or for the entire course and then start teaching! This method also helps to establish you as an expert in your field and it could lead to more success in the offline world--seminars, speaking gigs, etc.
I say, you sell the website for a nice lump of money and find a more competitive niche to break into and start a site on since you know your stuff and earn more net.
Building your own product or packaging your services is a-lot easier than you may think. If your current affiliate programs are selling than you should check into doing your own thing, because you can verify already what keywords are making the sales. Either way you should look into doing at least a little SEO, because even small amounts of long-tail keywords can produce more quality sales with very little effort.
Marketing is testing. Try the service that downloads hundreds of videos from YouTube matching the keywords you provide, and they insert your ad into the beginning of the video clip and then re-upload it. It's pennies on the dollar and with the massive number of people watching videos, 12 billion in March 2008, makes it the newest ad kid on the block. Let me know if you need more info on it.
Personally I hate gurus, so I would shy away from that market, besides it's becoming heavily saturated. Not to mention becoming a guru takes time away from your real income and unless you have a hook will take a long time to develop the following that makes it a success. My suggestion would be to find another higher paying niche and learn all over again. I have yet to find any cut n paste method that works across all niche's, so branching out may satisfy your boredom and make you some more bank.
hi, & when i needed help i couldnt find anyone so you should teach is a great niche & reliable income for u.
it's easy to be a critique... it's hard to make it happen. where's your focus? who are you listening to? is it working? for me, I want to know, does it make sense, common sense or is it in dream land like so many are. yeah, i suppose I can be teachy at times, so find fault with the facts... ahh but you can't so it's teachy. okay I can accept that.
"Personally I hate gurus... " Me too, what may be right for them is usually wrong for the average person. "I have yet to find any cut n paste method that works across all niche's" Well said, it's really about who do you trust and a whole lot of common sense.
Jonny, are you a writer? We need writers. I'm glad to share more on the video ads we do on YouTube. We pretty much do 'video branding service' for YouTube. We download hundreds of videos from YouTube matching the keywords you provide, and insert your ad into the beginning of the video clip and then re-upload it across our various YouTube accounts. We're pretty new at it and even this early we're doing great work for our clients. Send me a PM if this would be helpful to you. rick
Yeah, I'd be looking at my own product or something that you can build. Even if you don't believe you have adwords down 100%, obviously you know it well enough to make money from it. I'd be looking at ways to build something (membership site/forum/my own product) and see how that turns out.
Hi Bux... PM me if you'd like to see what video ads can do for you on YouTube. We do them by the 1000's. Keep up the great work.
before you start your own product i would advice mastering adwords or at least having at really good grasp on it. Narrow your products down to the top product which converts and then keep adding.
I actually go a step further... on the net, now this is different... I suggest you find a market first, not a product first, then find where that market isn't being satisfied and they usually aren't. Now that you have a niche market, and you find a product that niche market needs, it's easy, just talk to your audience in their language and it just works. but no one does that, at least not many.
