Here's my update TRAFFIC HAS STARTED TO CLIMB IN GOOGLE!!!!!!!!!!! You can read when I last posted, and from just that short time google has lifted the "traffic curse" from my website. Here's also a helpful tip: Right after I took the shopping cart/ store (embeded code from amazon) off of my site I pinged every page that had the store on it. To let goolge know that it was removed! Literally within the next 3 to 4 hours (in my case) I started to see the visitors slowly find their way back. To be honest with you guys I really don't know why it seems that google hates the store code I just thought it would be helpful to my readers by giving them a way to buy what they were looking for. All I know is in my case it is definitely not worth loosing ALL OF MY GOOGLE TRAFFIC!!! I am also not saying that the amazon store is a bad thing as I still think that their affiliate program is genius! I just wish I could have incorporated it without being penalized. And just to be as detailed as I can be on what happened: 1) I used to get at least 300 uniques /day from google before adding the script. 2) I had made NO FURTHER updates to the site afterwards. 3) As soon as google crawled my page with the script the traffic stopped (I watch my stats LIKE A HAWK like most of you guys do I'm sure) 4) I then took the script off each page that had it, AND PINGED WITH PINGOMATIC. 5) I also gave EVERY AFFILIATE LINK the "NOFOLLOW" attribute before pinging. (For extra measure) I hope this helps everybody with this same issue. - Acisco261 Oh Yea, REP ADDED TO THE "OP" FOR SAVING MY TRAFFIC!!!
You can SUB domain , thats what worked for me. Google treats a sub domain as a seperate domain, so you won't get nailed on the main domain.... And the best part is that you can just link to your store from the main site Like "Shop here" Another reason a sub domain is good is because if you want to drop the whole store you just drop the sub domain and blam Hope this helps
