    You can try with Joomla (joomla.org) or if you want to shape it up as a blog or rather simple try for Wordpress (wordpress.org)

    I agree with the above advice by 'infogle' but i really advice you to use WordPress first as it's easier and simpler to start with ;)

    Wordpress was really easy for me to learn when I was a total noob, and there's so many software widgets to use that are free. Google also likes Wordpress blogs and they get indexed quickly. There are many seo plugins to use. I guess I said enough here.
