What the advatage in using Smarty Template Engine

    I'm new to PHP programming and I know little of it. I wanted to know what is the main features and advantages in using smarty template engine and what templating system exist beside smarty.

    advantage is when one person code the script and another person design the script... if you do the both jobs there is no advantage! :)

    There are heaps of template engines.

    Template engines make it easier for designers who know nothing about scripting to update a site. It also protects the underlying code from being tampered with by a designer who thinks they know how to code.
