    If you can afford it go with a plasma tv. You'll never look back to ordinary tv's ever again :)

    If you go for the newer models, LCD takes the lead.

    I have a plasma tv at home and an lcd at the apartment I sometimes stay and I personally have to say that I prefer the colors from the plasma tv more :)

    Probably has something to do with the difference of base tone between plasma and lcd tv's.

    Wasn't the base tone of plasma black and lcd white?
    I think the black base tone just gives nicer contrast and thus nicer colors

    I would go for plasma for sure.... Don't laugh but I've recently bought CRT Philips CineOS and I still haven't seen so brilliant picture on any LCD and it was about twice cheaper than "equivalent" LCD...

    No doubt plasma TV are better than LCD's. You'll never get the same quality on a LCD TV. However, LCD's are cheaper than plasma. Based on your needs/budget, you can opt for either one. I'd only buy a plasma.

    I have a 42" Samsung plasma. I'm very satisfied, but I will buy a Bravia or a Aquos soon.
    Anyway, if you get a plasma, go for Samsung or Panasonic.

    I had done some research and apparantly plasma is old technology now!! if you have the dough, go for lcd hd(high defination)
    And if you have more money go for 100hz high defination with sorround sound;)
