Here is what amazon said. If I start a LLC and only me is in the LLC, what TAX ID and name I should tell Amazon? Thanks! "If you are an individual, your Tax ID Number is your Social Security number, and your Tax Name is your personal name. If you represent a non-individual, such as a corporation, partnership, or non-profit organization, the Tax ID Number is the organization's IRS employer identification number (EIN), and the Tax Name is the name of the organization. If you represent a sole proprietorship, your Tax ID Number is either your Social Security number or the sole proprietorship's IRS employer identification number (EIN). The Tax Name is your personal name, not the business name of the sole proprietorship."
Well, if u wanna be taxed through the LLC, which i am guessing is the case.... then put your LLC tax info.
if you are single proprietorship use this statement from amazon.. (If you are an individual, your tax ID is your Social Security number, your tax registration name is your name, and your tax classification is "individual.") if your business is more than single proprietorship this is you need to use... (If you represent a corporation, partnership, nonprofit, or other type of organization, your tax ID is the organization's IRS employer identification number (EIN), and your tax registration name is the organization's name. Select the most appropriate tax classification from the list of choices.) and others ....If you represent a sole proprietorship, your tax ID is either your Social Security number or the sole proprietorship's EIN. Your tax registration name is your personal name, not the business name of the sole proprietorship.
Thanks, do you mean that if I have a LLC and I am the only personal in the LLC. I can use my name and my SSN?
if you're single and a sole prop use the ss# if you single and a llc where the llc is a separate legal entity and you are the only member, use the ein # hope that helps
