What system does everyone use for face to face payments?

Hello guys,

I was just wondering what everyone uses for face to face card payments with their clients. I have heard PayPal here is okay but some people told me that their money was help for 90 days!

I need something with low fees, I do around £2,000 a month in card payments and I try to collect payments from clients on the spot when I finish a job. My industry is IT maintenance.

Any suggestions?

Square offers a mobile payment magstripe reader (and contactless version for EMV chip cards)

 

Why not simply going to http://www.barclays.co.uk/PersonalBanking/P1242557947640 and ask them to open a merchant account or any of the many banks there?

 

Too expensive for me, I haven't got great credit either.

It looks decent for a payment gateway but I need something that can help me with accounting amongst other things.

I found this: https://smarttradeapp.com/ which looked good, I think it's a Stripe integration - has a lot of features

https://www.waveapps.com/ - This looks good too but some of the reviews are really concerning

Do you know about either of these two?

I suggest using a small POS device with EMV Chip.

using alternatives payments like paypal or P2P can result into fraud or chargebacks, so you should consider 2 options :
EMV CHIP for Credit card payment that can be integrated with your smartphone.
