...how many services are dependent on them:

    Netflix
    Twitch
    Airbnb
    Facebook (Meta)
    LinkedIn
    Pinterest
    Slack
    Disney+
    Fortnite
    Capital One
    NASA

    ...and a few more.

I noticed a significant drop in traffic, which is surprising since my traffic isn't tied to any of the services that were down (maybe Pinterest, but I haven't posted there in months). Could there be something I'm missing?

I did not notice any disruptions during that time. However, I can see traffic being down from people who went to Facebook, e.g., found problems and decided that the Internet or their connection was down and went off to do something else. AWS is, by far, the leading Internet/cloud service. Google and Microsoft are in second and third place but not even close.

To their credit they identified the issue and were up and running in fairly short order.

The app we use for work is on AWS, so we were down. Ring camera took 2 days to come back fully.
