Hey Just a newbie asking what stops people from the click fraud. I mean, if some one became an affiliate with CJ, then he signed up using his link, now, he got huge commission. After doing this over and over, he will get paid. It doesn't make any sense to me.........
The advertisers will probably usually check IP addresses of the signups and the frequency. Some people get away with it but eventually get caught.
First, your IP address will be recorded. They will see the same IP address over and over and stop commissions. You can always get around this problem by changing IPs though. Second, they analyze the quality of the sign ups. Say for example on average, for each 100 sign ups the merchant expects 10 sales. Under your account, you direct 1,000 sign ups per day, and yet only 1 sale is made each day. Your quality is very low, and you'll be banned / see your commissions reversed. Usually that only happens if you lie about a product just to get leads. If you were manually signing up yourself it would be even worse. Rather then 1000/1 they would see 1000/0.
