What steps to take during domain change to save backlinks?

I am buying a domain for my blogspot.com blog. I wanted to know what steps to take so that the old backlinks will get included for the new domain.

I am not sure if you have understood the question very well so heres a an exmple. suppose I have a blog at abc.blogspot.com and now i buy a new domain abc.com. But I want to see that all the backlinks that i created for abc.blogspot.com should count as backlinks for abc.com.

How do I do that.

 

There's an option in the blogger dashboard that lets you add your own custom domain. It will automatically transfer everything for you.

 

Wont that affect my backlinks?

 

Go to Webmasters tools and there is option of Change site address... i hope will works

You can use htaccess file and index.php for your old site and redirect all links to the new site. this works for a normal hosted site.
