Just about anything which makes you sweat. Jogging, aerobics, cardiovascular workouts etc. etc. Join a gym and get professional advice.
Sports that have a lot of "explosive" movements.. Think: football, basketball, rugby, etc. You need to train your heart so you need rapid movement, rest, rapid movement, rest.. constant motion is much less effective.

to reduce your weight i think the cricket is the best game.Because cricket consume so much energy and fat.
Lots of running and of course a diet. Fighting sports are also great in my opinion, because i am currently training Muay Thai and it is very effective when it comes to losing weight. So in conclusion - combine a diet, fighting sport and some daily jogging/aerobics
Swimming completely...I used to do that when my ankles and joints were strained from playing too much basketball. Even my D2 Coach recommended it when I couldn't weight lift.
In my opinion, Jogging and Aerobics are the perfect weight reduce programme, where you can maintain your body for a long time, it would be fit. In you working life you have no extra time to play such sports or other thing, but you can make jogging or aerobics as you daily habit as for the regular exercise.
In my opinion, swimming should reduce your weight. When you do swimming regularly, it will help you to burn a lots of body fats. Try it. Maybe you will enjoy doing it.
