what software is used to make this effect?

    I'm trying to make a similar video of a space ship flying over land.

    Anyone know what kind of software the author might use for this effect?

    Where can I buy the software? thanks.

    maya or something similar, and its not easy or fast to make something like that.

    Definitely.

    Quite expensive, and extremely time consuming.

    Trying something cheaper, but just as time consuming would be Cinema4D. Not to say that that would be cheap either
