What software do you use to track your clients?

Are you using any software to track your clients and the work you do for them? If you have multiple clients all with different requirements and different stages of work completion etc., how do you keep track of what you've done and for whom, when you've promised something etc?

Yes, but a simple text file can do the same justice. Thats all I use.

    I use dotproject.net

Really helpful me to manage my virtual team of over 27 people, with 40-50 active projects at any given time. Powerful software..and free :)

Yes Dotproject is a really good free tool, it does take some getting used to. I set it up for someone before but completely reworked the front and made it much more user friendly.

As for myself i have the core vBulletin interfaced with a ticket system, live chat, private forum per project, FTP upload/download interface along with some other bits and pieces. This way the one login allows the client to access everything related to their project from tickets to progress reports, i can attach admin only notes and files etc.
