Well, I just recently bought 2 1gb sticks off eBay and they were all correct in every respect except I needed low density and got high density sticks which weren't compatible.. they offered to refund with a 15% restocking fee or upgrade to the "correct" RAM for $60 more so.. no thanks.. I'll sell them and get the right RAM when I can.
i have a 128 MB DDR ram at 166 Mhz and another 512 MB DDR running at 400Mhz on a 845 intel chipset at an FSB of 266Mhz! cheers!
256x2 its not enough for me i can't run : photoshop, adobe acrobat , MS office , .NetframeWork . .. i have plan to upgrade it for a 8 Gb DDr 2
This is really random... but I have 2GB, recently upgraded from just 1GB. And before that I had 512mb ram on a piece of junk computer
Ram is so temperamental, I often buy locally even if it's 20.8% more than what I could buy it for online. I had a Gigabyte MoBo that was impossible to find the right Ram...it would BSOD all the live long day with 4/5 of the MFG's that I tried
Thats why I use the MEMORY MACHINE! Its one of newegg.com's many machines http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductConfigurator.aspx?name=Configurator
I only have 512 DDR PC3200 on my desktop...I can't believe I bought these for 100ish a few years ago . Have anyone seen the price of DDR2 ram lately? Its insanely cheap.
I have 1 GB in my laptop, which is expandable to 2 GB. Someday I might add more but I am not sure right now. The money situation's tight and it's not a priority although a fast computer is nice to have.
In our office here at DraconusIT we have an AMD Athlon running 768 MB with XP, and a computer running 128 MB on 2000, and another with 512 MB on XP. There all networked too....
We have 2GB of Patriot eXtreme DDR2 RAM in our store for $164.68 if you want to check it out. 2GB RAM
I have one gig of ram, but i'm planning to upgrade really soon. Looks like Ram plays a big part in the PC.
