Hi, Does anyone have any idea what type of site this could be? It looks like placed on a Google subdomain, "https" secure!, has PR 9!, has plenty of AdSense ads, but has this very basic design... https://sites.google.com/site/btravelsavvy/home I was pretty surprised to come across it by accident a few minutes ago. The huge PageRank, but poor shallow content kind-of contradicts Google's policies and recent penalizing actions. Also: it looks like hosted under Google... (sites.google.com), looks like a small personal affiliate site. Their stats program (grey globe on the bottom) shows they had about 10,000 visitors this month (!). Quite a massive traffic - considering the modest content. Anyone owning this address must be very lucky. No contact info/email anywhere... They have more, this one too PR 9: https://sites.google.com/site/majorriversofthebritishisles/home It's weird, it's not the Google Sites that has the PR, but these pages themselves seem to have it (or share it?)
You people are contradicting each other These are Google-hosted pages that have 10,000 visitors and have PR 9. I checked multiple times. Maybe they are inheriting PR from Google Sites, but they are damn strong in metrics. I'm 100 % sure the Alexa Toolbar shows the mother host's (Google's) Alexa Rank, which is 1. But this should not be the case for PR - which is page-based.
I didn't want to be offensive. But look: PageRank 9!!! 10,000 visitors this month to the first site I mentioned!
Toolbar PageRank: 0 Page Authority: 1 Citation Flow: N/A Trust Flow: N/A The site is just another Google Sites page. Nothing spectacular about it at all.
