i guess on-page optimization usually concerns the initial web-design phase unless one is doing reverse engineering, by correcting a site that is already published. So usually, one would expect on-page op to be done first before it is placed on the web. Then the off-page portion will start its gears... but you are right, there is nothing wrong with doing both at the same time if your website is ALREADY on the web.
You can't really do at the very same time. Unless your link partner is new and not careful, linking to anyone, any site. If you don't have 2 pages yet, and try to get a backlink, your are doing SEO in a wrong order. Establish your site first before seeking for a backlink. Having a unique content often creates a link bait, encouraging people to link back to your site. So, always do on-page SEO first.
first you have to focus on page. you must prepare a good web site for your visitors. after finishing you can start on "off site promotion" (backlinks)
First do on page optimization: it will involve 1.title and meta tags - based on your keyword research 2.content 3.urls, anchors, images etc. Then carry off-page optimization . it involves: 1.link building, blogging, articles, directories etc. you can also take both simultaneously.
Sure you need to do Onpage optimization first. after everything is ready you can start doing off-page. It's the same like racing car, you should modify the engine first before the out-look right?
exactly tradeya. Off page promotion first will be wasted dollars and a longer period of time before you get natural traffic.
of course, this is the ideal case. but i believe that on-page optimisation can never be completed or perfected at the first try. So the criteria shld be, once your site is published, u can and shld do both concurrently.....
definatley on-page is my advice. that way your site is as best as it can be ready for when your website starts to get crawled by the bots.
Yes sure you can not only rely on on-page optimization alone. After done on-page and a bit of off-page, you need to come back to analyze and revise your onpage again for a better ranking or more competitive keywords. off-page will help you ranking well as the aditonal support as well. so this two should go together, but dont forget to do on-page first. ^^
If ask which one should you do first, I would say Onpage promotion. but if ask which one is hard to do, it's off page promotion. You need lots of time and effort for link building and also promoting. It's long way to go.
I think you should do on-page first then off-page would be the last. But this is a continues process you have to improved link popularity to get a better ranking in search engine.
