Just like the title says.. what should it cost for 5 pages and yes.. it's about the page in my sig. I will reduce that site to 5 quality unique pages.

Depends on whether it's a CMS or not and how much of a mess it is.

onpage seo is not rocket science. If time permits, read up a bit on DP and do it yourself.

Another factor that might affect the price I believe would be if you would also require keyword research or you have aleady identified for which keywords you want to optimize your site.

OK well you have text link navbar, which is good! First off, I would do some keyword research and determine which keywords you want to optimise for.

As far as onpage seo goes, I would start off by keeping a common link format for the homepage. Instead of linking to http://www.barcelonacity.eu/index.html I would link to http://www.barcelonacity.eu/ as other webmasters linking to you would more then likely use this same link format. For the header link, I would also make use of alt img text (using the keywords you want to target which you established from the initial keyword research). The homepage is the most important, so begin SEO on this. Make use of header tags in the content, and link to some of your more important pages on the site within the body content. Your page title is also another important factor with regard to onpage SEO. Include your important keywords in the title, preferably at the start and make sure it's not too long. That should be a good start.

I agree. Some sites are such a mess it takes alot of time to fix them and so will cause more. Also some sites require adding content or editing massive amounts of content because of errors or other flaws.

Everyone has their own style, so I think that price will depend on what the seo is going to do for you, only then could a fair price be given. If someone is just going to write h1 tags and drop in a description or 2 add a few keywords then sure a $100 is fair.

But there is more to onpage seo than just h1's keywords and meta tags. But it makes no sence to me to do just onpage seo unless you already have a ton of backlinks, if not then you are going to need to have both onpage and off page seo if you really want to do well in the search engines.

I agree with everything except the last part. Onpage should be finished before getting backlinks. There should be good link structure and targeted meta tags and everything shold be ready for the bots.

I agree with you as well, my point was that sometime you run across sites that already have a good set of backlinks, but they never took the time to actually optimize the site. Do not know why anyone would do that, but it happens, I am working on site right now that is like that.

Thanks all for feedback, especially dcristo. I will make good use of your points. I can edit the tags etc. but the hardest thing I think it's the keywords.. how do i know i choose the right keywords, how do i know i use the right description and how do i know i take care enough of the keywords density... those things makes me unsure
