What should my PPC be?

I am an Independent Shaklee distributor. So my target market will be vitamins and mlm. I had my PPC set at 1.00 per keyword. And I received very little response. So today I raised my PPC to 2.00. Do you think that is enough? :)

i think you are paying WAY too much.
    Look for .04-.05 keywords!
be creative, use the keyword tool.

    1.00-2.00 keywords will break you.

There are many different strategies out there but paying through the nose for keywords is not a successful one (unless you have a killer backend strategy and don't mind using Adwords as a kind of loss leader).

Google advocate small highly targeted adgroups, many people are doing just that right now successfully.

    Eg:
3 keywords per adgroup like so:
    blue widgets
    "blue widgets"
    [blue widgets]

and using negative keywords to lower superflous impressions.

This is a simple but effective technique and you can certainly keep tabs on CPC's a hell of a lot easier than thousands of keywords.

    All the best,
    Tom

High PPC isn't best approch to get meanigful traffic out of adwords. Using keyword variations and attractive ad text you can get more exposure even by paying low PPC.
