Hi, I'm working on developing a new content/blog website. Currently I have the following on my homepage: Logo Menu Bar Email sign up (widget style) News and Personal Blog (Widget) Tweets (Widget) Featured slider 3 Featured image squares underneath. Then I have the main part of the page left. I was thinking to include some main menu headers with their posts underneath as image style. Or list the whole menu in grid format but just more details like recent posts for each or most popular. I want it so it lays out the site nicely and so it's easy to navigate to what they might want. What do you believe should be included on the homepage? And what do you suggest to have in the main section? Any websites for examples would be much appreciated. I'm currently taking ideas from this popular uk website moneysavingexpert.com Thanks for any replies. Scott
Also I'll be having a constant right hand side widgets unlike digital point where they go into a full page. Which do you think is better?
I personally also think widgets on right side are better, they don't distract your reader much. Or, also, widgest under the content, like those "popular on the web" and "you may also like" things are great, they don't look like ads at all, yet earn you the money you want and here is a link for inspiration with your design, I think this list is big enough to find some cool inspiration https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/60-best-sites-designers-ann-bailey-mba?trk=prof-post
