I want to start my own webseries so I can make some additional revenue (e.g ads in podcasts, web sites, DVD specials, etc.), but I have no clue what tools I should use to make it.Here's are my options 1)Toys-Toy machinimas are getting very popular (e.g Arby N Chief and the I'm Marvel...and I'm DC series) these days. Making an episode is easy to make, but I don't like the idea of using toys (don't want to live my preschool days) 2) Gaming Machinima-Huge fan base (especially Halo 3 and WOW machinima), some what easy in making a new episodes, but making money could be a problem (according to creative commons, I cannot make money off gaming machinima by selling episodes) 3) Flash cartoon-Huge fan base like gaming machinima (e.g Newgrounds) hard in making new episodes, limitless money possibilities. What do you think?
I guess it depends on what skill level you are at with making such animations and whether or not you have the time and resources to devote to developing it. All things equal, I would go for the most popular with the biggest payoff rate.
