I own www.bidzap.biz and it was quite the failure so I was just wondering whether I should try and relaunch and if so what ways can I improve? Or just close it completely.
I think this concept is actually kind of unique. However, the site fails to convey the excitement of being able to win an expensive gaming console (or other prize) just by buying a cheap entry ticket. I'd rework the entire site, starting with the design and giving more information to visitors. The text is very small - it's hard to read for me, so I know others will have the same problem. The site itself looks boring, so people probably get bored and leave. Add some excitement and I think it will be successful the second time around if you market and promote it correctly.
Yeah, the site doesn't make me want to jump for joy or anything but its a nice design. The question is, what have you learned from working on this site, what can you improve, how can you make it more exiting and attractive? You have to ask yourself: Would this site be attractive to me if I was a visitor? And then improve it to what you would think you would like. I say make the font bigger(small font to me is as bad as telling the viewer that "I don't care if you can't read the font or not"), also align the copyright text on the bottom to the left so it follows the layout. Also, try to make the visitors exited about what they could win! hope this helps
Well, strictly saying, if you can spend a little bucks for advertising, you might consider advertising through emails and SMS, as these work the best
bookmarking also works! and let's not forget that social networking could be the kick start for every business. Write an article or ask somebody (a top blogger preferably) to write a review about your site. Then you could submit the article to social networks and hope that it hits the home page. Before doing all that you definitely have to work on the design a little bit more and the website functionality as well.
Keep at it buddy. The site could do with a redesign and the text needs to be bigger. I agree with Nightcrawler, get a blogger to write a review and then submit the review to a few social networks.
