What Should I Do?

So I recently sold an eBook I wrote to a customer that I thought was nice enough at the time. Then immediately after he downloaded the book, he issued a paypal chargeback and escalated it. At the time, I was level-headed and okay with it since I had full records against all of his claims. I provided all of the information in my response, which made him quiet down for 1-2 hours.

Now, he went to the forums where I advertised my ebook and posted my eBook free of charge to everyone on the forum. He is telling me that unless he gets a refund he wont remove the link which is both on his forums, and on his website. I warned him to remove the links because he is committing an illegal act where he is aiding in theft by giving away my book with no resale rights. In response, he sent me back a curse-filled message that said he wont remove them until I refund him.

He is clearly just trying to get a free eBook, but I will not roll over easily. :D What do you think I should do?

Perhaps you could report his actions to his host and see if they would make him take the link down?

If you think this ebook is of great value in the long run, I personally would get in touch with a firm of solicitors and get some advise.

i agree with etali, report it to his host that he is breaching copyright, and also report his URL to all the major search engines.

Yep, the first thing I would do is talk to the mods and have them remove that link...

Talking to a lawyer will take a while, get the mods to remove the link so you can stop the distribution immediately.
