Hi, A long story short! Back in 2001, I purchased a domain through joker but my ex-webmaster set up everything ect (i paid her and she got the domain)..I thought she gave me the username/ password but now it don't work..I desperately need to get in the account..She's been away from me for a while and she's been unreachable since she closed her web business down..I wrote joker and explained to them my situation..I told them that i could SOMEHOW prove that i'm the owner of the site ect..So, i'm waiting on a reply from them..I do have a newer account with joker and godaddy but this domain is on this old account..What else could i do to retrieve my domain from this old account? What proof do you think i really need..I tried every possible user/ password that she and i could have used but nothing..I really need help with this situation..Thanks guys and gals.. Danny
If the WHOIS record shows you as the registrant, then follow Joker's policies on how to demonstrate you're the legal name holder. If the WHOIS record shows your webmaster as the registrant, then either try to find her or seek legal advice. I have a feeling the domain name's contact details are under your webmaster. But if they shows they're yours, then try whatever password recovery options there are.
Good advice by Dave! Also if your information is listed on whois then simply transfer the domain name to any other reliable registrar! This way you will be able to manage your domain if you dont get the login info from your webmaster
