Hi everyone, Firstly, thanks for reading and i am sorry for my broken english. I have a few questions here and hope that i can get some hints. 1) I fully understand that content is the king. But if i am mistaken, traffic is the key here. So, here to come to another question, content vs traffic. 2) What is the best method to get free traffic? 3) Should i build up the traffic first before insert google adsence? Thanks.
The best method is build up traffic before posting ads,because more people gets annoyed on seeing ads,if you make people come to your website again and again,then they wont mind your ads,so content also plays an important role here
sudarshannus, thanks. I tried several methods before. 1) Spend few hundreds on adbrite for web traffic, put google adsence and hope that i can earn profit after deducting the advertising cost. Fail. 2) Purchase banner slot on related website. Also fail. The advertising cost is higher than the money that i earn from google adsence. Additional, web traffic drop extremely when advertisement stop. 3) Link buildling. I believe this is the best method but i don't have much time for this. Any other method?
Both are of value. Traffic brings money and content brings traffic. I see some webmasters accumulate traffic before inserting Adsense because they believe that their visitors will be annoyed to see ads when they want information. But I realize that Adsense is also information - information from advertisers about the existence of a product or service a visitor may find useful.
As a visitor, I find it more noticeable when a site that didn't have ads suddenly has them, as opposed to a site that has had ads from the start. I'm not anti-ads, but I can think of one site that I used to visit all the time but now I won't because it has popups and ugly banners. I know that all site owners have a right to make money, but it isn't the same site to me so I don't go anymore.
You want to have good content to keep them there once they land there and to keep them returning. Untargeted traffic is in my honest opinion worthless. Use articles with keyword research to get some targeted traffic.
New at marketing a site? Content is KING I would say it's almost more important than traffic because first, with good content drives traffic to your site. Without content, you would have no traffic... with lots of traffic and low content, you could lose visiters. Try writting articles and submitting them to article websites, digg.com, reddit, and other news sharing websites.
