I recently obtained QuitCollege.com and intend to make a little money with it. My initial thought was to make it a young money forum for young entrepreneurs looking for an alternative path of life, but thought that it may be too generic. Should I try an affiliate approach, lets say, "Quit College and make your living now..." ? Sounds too generic. What is in demand right now? Does anyone have any other suggestions for this domain?
You could make it about famous people who never finished college. Bill Gates for example. Make a list of celebrities and sports players and make people guess if they finished college or not, maybe make a flash game out of it.
1. Buy up domains like qubusinesscollege, qubeautycollege, quagriculturalcollege, etc. 2. Approach the Sultan of Qatar 3. Sell him the domains for Qatar University - IT College, Qatar University - Business College, Qatar University - Beauty College, Qatar University - Agricultural College, etc.
Yeah, that's what i'm talking about - thanks. I thought about listing ways that young people could make money besides/in addition to going to college... and maybe throwing affiliate links in there along with google ads. Anyone else?
Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind when I hear that domain is one of those scam "get rich quick" sites. Of course, that could be a good way to make some money... I wouldn't know. Aside from that, I agree that focusing on people who did quit college might be your best bet. Or maybe making it a humor site.... One of my colleagues recently launched www.lazyhousewife.com as a side project using fake stories, funny alternate uses for cleaning supplies, etc. Maybe you could take an angle like that and kind of make it a spoof of educational sites. Like instead of articles on staying in school, write ones about why they should leave. Make them obviously tongue-in-cheek, but still with a serious tone. Could be a good site for some "smart humor". This sounds the most feasible from all the suggestions... it would turn out to be a kind of "database of famous people" in the end i guess...
