Just do a all in one selling site..... sell everything from A to Z... especially IT based peripherals... partner with someone if u dont have idea on it.... or just make it like ebay..... & charge commission .... u will earn loads.... or just sell this domain it has a coool name.....

I could easily turn it into an ecommerce / reseller / affiliate site for my own items but I've become addicted to the simplicity and low cost of user generated content.

Auctions have come up several times in this thread and to be honest the work and expense involved with building and running that kind of site is more than I'm willing to invest. Plus the fact that eBay and Amazon own that space and to deliver a relatively good selling experience you have to reach a critical mass of buyers and long-tail search referrals don't particularly help either because by the time the items are showing up in the SEs index and ranking for a keyword phrase the auction is over.

 

keep it as it is because if you change the design or the concept you will lose your high PR and the back links

I'd suggest you to make featured paid listings to monetize the site

get away from adsense for such site because if you put adsense the sellers won't buy featured listings on your site because adsense will send your visitors to the seller's competitors

your alexa rank shows you get good traffic, even with cheap listings you will still make some good money to spend on your gf on saturday night

isell as the name suggest is about selling something on internet so classifieds is the best choice.

I have many suggestions (If you want to earn more)

1. Add a donation link to side. This helps a lot...
2. Redesign your site in a theme of a newspaper.
3. Allow every user to have 5 free ads and then he can pay.
4. Add some referral type of ads like user will pay only if someone completes the tasks.
5. Add a point system to the site.
6. Make site Global.
7. New banners, logos will surely help.
8. Get some contract with eBay and all for a partnership...

Changing the site type is loosing you traffic,money and all my suggestion is play safe

 

You could use the domain to provide an open source (or "off-the-shelf") e-commerce site where people could use the software to create their own online e-stores (i sell - its personal).

I think the idea of selling apples products online would be a good idea. It was a good suggestion. My recommendation though would be to contact them and negotiate resale rather than affiliation. You would make more profit. Sell business-to-business. A company called Rapid do that. Very good!

Other than that you could take a novel approach of doing a blog or something. Each week or month selling something completely random! Have people bidding on a "mystery prize" worth say (for example) between $5 and $100.

Some weeks you will get bids of $50 for something only worth $25, others $50 for something wirth $70. Work it as a business. People LOVE to gamble!

It is very profitable on eBay at the moment. Definately worht a shot!!

as a classified isale.com doesnt reflect the wider range of categories. Still if you do it, nobody can say nothing. Free world.
Here is my suggestion, build a common marketplace website. Sort of like amazon.com or ebay.
