I have had this domain name for a while and haven't used it because I was afraid of Google. :p. What do you guys suggest? Thank you.

You could always make a blog about what's happening with BlogSpot... Using YPN or something else instead of Adsense.

You could make reviews of Blogger vs the other blogging platforms... Just a thought. Good luck!

You could not do anything. Aren't both terms trademarked by the same company?
Is it worth poking a stick at the giant?
I would continue to be afraid, even if it's not an issue, technically, it's still a very huge chance to take.

Let the domain expire and do not try to develop for it because if Google get to know it (even if you do not use Adsense), they would come after you.

Yeah, I think the risk of google coming after you might not be worth the time to develop the site. The money you might make from the advertising would be lost if google did not like the use of their names in it.

I am extremely surprised that it was even available to register.

It 's kind of like seeing money on the street, You know it's not supposed to be there, and people keep walking around it, so you bend down to pick it up, only to find out it's a prank and it's nailed to the ground:)

I have a similar situation as well actually. I registered GoogleEarth.us and don't really know what to do with it. Perhaps I'll sell it on ebay or something. The last thing I would want is to get banned by Google or receive a C&D letter. It's kinda risky business.

Yeah, I saw that. I was also surprised that it was available.
The one thing about domains like that is, they don't need to register and hold them. They have a right to the brand. Plain and simple.
    I really wouldn't mess with Google Earth:eek:

Yeah, not worth the risk for me. Anyway I got it for 5$ only so not a big loss. I was tired, didn't think the whole thing through when I bought it. 5$ in my stupidity hat!

When I saw it, I just thought there are so many sites that use trade marked names in url already that it shouldn't be that hard to find a buyer for it. But then again it's Google, not just any brand. I have ties to them with Adsense etc and I bet Google is very well equiped to deal with such infringements, unlike other non entirely web-based brands.

So no, I'm not going to poke a giant with his own toothpick.
