Hello, my site is a daily tech deals and custom computer building resource site called Lawltech.com. Lately I've been getting kind of depressed because my site hasn't been converting too well. There was a period of four days where I made over $25 each day and I thought I was doing very well then. It seemed to be just good luck because I haven't got anymore sales like that. I know if I keep working at it I will make more sales, but is there anything I should really focus on right now? Something that can have some more immediate effects on the site? I am using CJ and mostly promoting Newegg and Dell. I also do a little bit of promotion of TigerDirect, CompUSA, Buy.com, and some other computer electronics retailers. Lately I've just been feeling really sad lately and don't feel like working on my site so it isn't being updated as often. I did change the colors of the site today. They were more orangish, now it's a blue theme. I also changed the main page to show 15 deals at a time instead of 5 of the best deals at a time. I feel like I am really missing something though... I don't really promote the site. I just rely on SEO and I'll recommend my site on some forums for people who are thinking of custom computer building. If anybody has any recommendations I would really appreciate it and green will follow. My CJ earnings can be viewed here. I also make a little bit of money using Adsense, Clickbank, and LinkShare. On average my site gets 200 visits a day.
why don't you tell us about your traffic...what terms are they finding you with, how many uniques/day, do you have a high bounce rate, etc? Has it gone up, down, or same recently?
I am being found with all kinds of computer hardware related terms like 256mb nvidia geforce 8600gt-ddr3, etc. This article ranks well for "acer aspire e700". I am currently writing another article like this one for another pre-built computer. I am not being found with any specific keywords really. Just a lot of longtail searches. I am rank on the first page for "daily tech deals" but that isn't a very competitive phrase. I rank at the bottom of page two for "tech deals". I get about 150-300 uniques per day. My bounce rate is somewhat high, usually around 60-70%. But the nature of my site is to bring in traffic and then send it somewhere else via the affiliate links so I'm not sure how useful bounce rate is in gaging my visitors.
