Hi guys, I thought I'd put this question on the forum to see if I can get some other ideas or new methods to try. I have a new site, only 4 days old, in the last 24 hours it has just appeared in google when you type in the domain name and search it, how ever it is not in google for it's key word, but ranks at #5 in both yahoo and bing. Currently the site has 4 posts, one of them being a welcome message of about 250 words the rest being real posts in excess of 500, as you can see I am going at 1 post per day. I have tweeted, facebook liked, dugg and stumbled upon the 3 informational posts. I have created 5 back links for the site upon my other established sites and I have got a new PR4 back link to one of my back link sites. So keeping in mind that I do not rank for my keyword yet and my keyword is in my domain name, what would you suggest I do next or even over the next couple of weeks to continue the development of my site and get it higher in rankings?
Thanks for replying, that was pretty much what I was planning anyway, but I am always on the look out for new ideas. I guess at the end of the day the more things that change with google the more they stay the same and that content really is king.
Anything else you can do will sooner or later be circumvented by the Google algorithms. Content and backlinks will always improve Google results. Spending time on other pursuits to gain rank superficially will sooner or later come to naught.
You could try writing some articles relating to your niche and adding it to article directories such as EzineArticles. This helps you to get more backlinks which in turn helps you to rank higher on Google which means more traffic. Remember to include the link to your website in the articles that you are submitting to article directories.
Hi adam7one, mmerlinn can't be more right. Content is everything. Not just go with text, but post original pictures and videos. I get a lot of traffic just because of .jpg s even if they are not so cool, but they have to be original. You need to get backlinks and the best way is to have a nice interesting website. Obviously, try to share it in every social network. Try comment in random blogs in a non-spammy way. Have a nice day !!
Post unique content daily and try to make popular your stories in STUMBLEUPON, DIGG, REDITT,TAGZA & DELICIOUS . Create themetic backlinks in High PR, do article submission & blog commenting it helps you to keep your site in top page of all search engines.
