What should I do if most of my audience is from other countries?

Ok so I have google adsense running on my personal pet blog. I hardly make a dime from them and I looked at my alexa stats the other day and it said that 60% of my traffic is from out of the U.S.A. even though my site is a U.S site.

Here is what it said exactly:

    United States24.3%

    Israel10.4%

    Portugal7.0%

    Other countries60.0%

So I was wondering if this could be affecting my earning from adsense.

I know a little about adsense, but this area I have know idea.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

It probably is. Most publishers (including me, when I'm running campaigns) geo-target their ads for relevance. I always include English-speaking countries and India, but that's it, since most of my ads are for internet marketing-related products.

    What niche are you in?

EDIT: in fact, could I have a link to your site, please?

Alright, I can already see why your adsense would be low paying if you even have a good clickthrough rate.

Pets, especially fish, don't exactly have a big market, which means there are less people paying for others to come to their site and more people relying simply on organic search results.

Whatever you're doing to drive traffic is working, so don't stop doing that even though it's not US traffic.

    Search Term: site:MarktheDude's site url
    Results 1 - 10 of about 261 from markthedude's site url. (0.15 seconds)

You only have ONE ad unit, though, and it only shows 2 links. Add another unit either to the bottom of your site, or on the side bars. You should also consider adding in some adsense for search. That has the highest CTR on my site as far as ads go, although my site is in a very oversaturated niche whereas yours is pretty much ONLY you lol.

EDIT: just realized you DO have a search bar. Maybe put it higher up at the top so you don't have to scroll down to see it.

EDIT2: Just for readability, you should also change your posts to p align=justify

Thanks for the great review. And it makes since sense that there really is no need I guess for others to pay to have people come to their site through adsense because it's almost to specific of a niche I guess.

I will change the Search bar placement than and try adding some ads to the sides of the main content.

But I'm somewhat familiar with simple html codes but what do you mean by: p align=justify?

Do I simply place the code before and after my content?

Well at the same time, most people who have fish for pets tend to also have other pets or be interested in other pets, so it's not bad to have those sorts of links, they just wouldn't convert as well as links for fish pets specifically, like your site.

    The addition of adsense to your posts is a great addition. It's all black so it blends without disappearing and it wont cause "ad blindness" by people like me. xD;

I took a look at your stylesheet. I assume you're using WordPress? If you are, go to the "themes" section of the admin panel and choose to edit the look. It'll open up the CSS for that theme. I PMed you with some things you'd need to add for "Justify" look, without revealing your CSS to all here. xD
