What should I do about this? Please help....

I am not really sure if someone had already posted this kind of thread but I really need your help.

I am using a certain contact plugin for my wp contact page but I got an error when I tested it. Here’s the error,” The e-mail could not be sent. Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function.”

My webhosting is hostgator.

What should I do guys?

Please help me. I have already done a lot of research but I still I can’t find the exact solution.

You would have to contact your host. If they have disabled the mail function, you may have to set up your contact page to use smpt protocol, which requires you to log into an existing email account to send mail from the server.

 

You should be able to use sendmail.

Ask your host with sendmail support.
