What Should I Charge For My Services?

I'd really like to start accepting and applying for writing gigs, yet I have no idea what I should charge for my writing. I have a pretty good guess that it's above one cent per word, but other than that, I'm pretty much clueless.

Here are two samples of my work: (I'm not going to be writing articles for AC, anymore. Too cheap).

If you could give me some feedback on how much I should charge per word, that'd be grand. Also, if it increases my article value, I specialize in the field making money online. I'm very knowledgeable in that field, and have many years of experience. Quote please? (Hopefully I'm using the term right, lol) :)

Hm....your writings are good. Very nice.
I am sure you can get a good deal. Maybe $10 for 400-500 or more.

The baseline / average rate that most freelancers charge for articles seems to be around $1 per 100 words. Higher quality writers charge more.

Hmm... so I should charge one to three cents per word. Any other suggestions?

(Thanks for the replies, by the way!)

Thank-you for your suggestions, everyone! Hopefully I'll be successful marketing my articles for the first time! And at a price of 2.5 to 3.0 cents per word, too! :)

Apply for work at Bright Hub. They pay $10 to $15 per article. Good luck!

I believe you can get anywhere from $5 - $20 for a 500 words article, depending on a few things:

    1. Quality of your work of-course.
    2. Who do you work for! or Where do you find the client!
    3. How do you sell yourself or your work.

I am new here too..so lets Hope for the best! :)
