    hello guys,

I am planning to start few blogs, where people can come and publish as guest post (Only Quality Content)

I'm feeling trouble, what niches i should start first?

Should it be a general blog, where i can have 10-15 categories (of different niche)?
or Should i treat these categories as separate blog?

    plz help....thanks in advance.

I'd suggest to start with things that interest you. Being your blogs, you can do that first. Thus, it will be a lot more simple for you to check the accuracy and originality of the texts that your guests will post.
After that you can start different niches after asking your writers what they would like to write about. For example make a poll.
I hope I was useful in any way. All the best, Jteph.

    Thanks for the input.

I am running a web development company, and got quality writers for every niche inhouse. So i'd use my own writers to start on this.

Our main concentration on offering quality content to visitors, with NO ADVERTISEMENT POLICY, yes we are not going to place any sort of ads on these blogs. As we are already doing good business from our other companies, i'd simply use the same man power to these blogs.

I have point out 20 great niches, but my main question is:

Should it be a general blog, where i can have 10-15 categories (of different niche)?
or Should i treat these categories as separate blog?

I'd say it would be better for you to make a different blog for each niche, with different categories for that niche. For example: medicine - with different categories like cancer, eating disorders etc.
    All the best,

    @ Jteph

Yes, this is what i have researched,

i am planning to start few mother categories, then i'd introduce sub categories with in.

i think it would be quite better and would also create these blog dedicated to a specific niche.

I suggest you to start only one blog with all those niche. This way you can not only get more posts but can also build up a large community of users at a single point.

    @arjunchauhan24,

with my research, blog with a specific niche are more successful than a blog covering a wide range of categories.

I never said that blogs having one niche arent successful. I agree with you on this. But I "personally" recommend him to start a multi-niche blog.

Try writing about the niches which have moderate competition on the web. It gets really hard to compete with other big daddy blogs which follow the same niche that your blog follows...

    Best of luck :)

It's always better to stick to one niche, if you can, although I myself don't stick to that rule! If you can't only stick to one, keep it at a very minimum of like 2-3 topics. HOpe that helps.

Don't Ask for a niche idea on a webmaster forum. then everyone with money and know how, will beat you to it.

no it's not like that, no matter people copy on the same niche.....there are many people might be working on same niche...but it's all efforts that can makes a difference.

so never shun from competition, or leak out

Yes, that pretty true; but there are many blogs those are covering all major categories, and before making my extensive research i used to think the same just like you.

but if we cover wide range of categories, we also open ways to attract traffic. But that not too easy just like once niche....
because now you have to research each of niche, and their respective sub-cats. Also you have to work really hard to get quality content for each of your category.

so what i feel, making a blog general is good, if you are ready to invest a good amount of time and honest efforts.

If you have web development skills, you can do a blog on tutorials.
