    Hey all members,

I am new here. I watched several threads containing buy and sell sites and found some points before selling a site.

I think this should be the process flow used by a seller:

    1. Prepare to sell.

Make sure your site is working by checking for:

    ■security warnings

■bugs, broken links, and missing images

■issues with statistics packages and other ancillary functionality

    ■loading speed issues

    ■erroneous redirects

■Collate records for revenue, costs, and claims.

■Make time in your schedule to manage the listing and transfers.

    2. Create your listing.

    ■Value your site.

    ■Create a new listing.

    ■Create a listing title.

■Choose to sell at auction or private sale.

■Set a duration for the listing.

    ■Select bidding options.

    ■Claim revenue and traffic.

    How to Sell Your Website

■Include attachments that support your claims.

■Note whether or not the site’s design and content are unique.

■Choose the payment methods you’ll accept.

■Set your listing to be confidential, if appropriate.

    3. Manage your auction or sale.

    ■ Promote your listing in your own networks, and by using the promotion tools on DP

■Conduct due diligence on potential buyers.

■Respond to public comments on your listing.

■Respond to private messages from buyers.

    ■Accept bids or offers.

    ■Anticipate and monitor auction extensions.

    4. Complete your auction or sale.

■Consider using a contract of sale:

    ■Review the template contract.

    ■Seek legal advice.

■Agree on the terms with the buyer.

    ■Manage payment and property transfer:

    ■Contact the buyer.

■Agree on the payment and property transfer process.

■Seek assistance where you need it from service providers

And after- all I think post sale services matters a lot to force the buyer come again and again.

I need your inputs also so that new users can take help of this.

    Hope you like my findings.

    Thanks,

    Happy selling.
