I know as long as you have good content that keep users to keep around your site the bounce rate would be lower. From what I read somewhere your doing good if you have bounce rate of 30%.
the lower your bounce rate the better users crawl your website. However it's not always right. For blogs bounce rate always would be arround 60% because you have a 1 page traffic, people a reading your blog posts and leaving. So bounce rate optimal level is always unique for each niche.
Note that bounce rate on GA does not take into account how LONG a user was on a page, just that they only saw one page before they left. So if all your content is on one page, a bounce is not a big deal.
To reduce the bounce rate, you should have first and foremost, relevant content. Make the site attractive enough that visitor will be encouraged to check out your site further. The Trick there is to make the site visitor click any link on your site. Not necessarily Advertisement. Try to put a banner or headline asking them to click that button or link to view a very special information about your site. This is applicable if your site have multiple page and your homepage doesn't much to offer unless they go and click your articles and links. gj tony is correct when he said that if all your content is on one page only and your site is simply a one page HTML site, then bounce rate is irrelevant to you. if this is your case, you can simply check the length of time people stay on your site. That way you will know if people are really reading your content or simply bouncing off your page. Hope this helps!
I've heard from top affiliate marketers at affiliate summit that lower than 40% and you're doing good. But like what some are saying it depends a lot on your niche. If you want to lower your bounce rate try adding video, or a walk on spokesperson, this doesn't work for all sites but some can benefit greatly from it! I would recommend websiteactorlive.com
I think Bounce Rate should be In between 45%-50%. Anybody can also give some suggestion about bounce rate.
Bounce rate depends on what type of sites you have. It may or may not be related to site's performance. If you have a bounce rate of 70% and above and you have a blog with lots of internal links, it means readers don't like your site.
But not Zero right? 2.7 is unbelievable as well for high traffic site. How many visitors do you get /day?
In google analytics it is showing today 49 visits, 2656 page views, new visits 86.76%, average time on site 4.17 minutes, bounce rate is 2.04%. I have checked in hypestat it is showing 737 daily visits, 28,752 page views daily. I don't think Google analytic shows correct figure.
Yeah there is some problem with it. It uses Javascript. If anyone disables that they won't be counted. Their might be other weaknesses. And the stat 49 visits 2656 page views means 54 pages/visit. what kind of website is that? looks unbelievable.
Hi, less bounce rate like less than 30% ounce rate is good. if the bounce rate is 0% then it is better. Thanks
