    What SEO tools do you use whilst building your site?

    and do you use the same ones once your site it built to keep an eye on stats or do you use something else?

    And what is the reason you use the one you do?

    Google Keyword Planner to look what words have the highest bids and choose what I write about .
    Also using Ahrefs and Opensiteexplorer to check competition and backlinking.

    All are free tools .

    More important than using a single tool is using multiple tools and check the differences to have the most true vision of the bid and keyboard situation. If you focus on one tool only, you risk to be misdirected.

    Google Analytics of course. Ahrefs is also a good project. SEO SpyGlass and Traffic Travis are worth too! :)

    Scrapebox - Find blogs, page rank, broken links, and much much more

    Moz.org - great SEO information
    OpenSiteExplorer & AHREFs.com - Site explorer and backlink checker

    I use Google Keyword Planner tool for keyword research. Google Webmaster tools, ahrefs and SEO quake use to know how search engines are viewing my website and to check backlinks as well as for other seo values. Google analytics to being familiar with traffic data.
