What SEO Search Tools Equal the Paid Version of the Ahrefs Keyword Generator?

I am trying to start SEO-ing my blog, but the paid Ahrefs search tool is too expensive and the free one is too ineffective for finding the right Goldilocks zone of low keyword difficulty, coupled to high-enough volumes of search density. To get started, how do I find free (or cheap) search tools equaling/approximating Ahrefs?

Gratis, free of charge, ...

 

I don't see how what I was waying was so stupid. There must be similar, or near-duplicate ones to Ahrefs, and I certainly was being being serious. Still am.
