I'm thinking about adding a hotel / vacation discount ticket site in addition to the jobs site (which I know is in demand) and my music site and blog. So what sells? Most of the link exchanges seem related to finance, wallpaper, health, travel, music downloads etc.
Porn I kid you not. My adult client is running about 20% over last year and I have another dozen servers on order for him. His chargebacks are up though as well. He has models doing overtime processing those claims.
I run adult site and it's starting to pay off. Been around exactly 1 month and have made $30, not too bad I'd say. It's just a consistent matter of keeping up with it. Anything you can drive enough traffic to can be profitable, you don't even necessarily have to sell anything these days, just market the heck out of something and sell advertising.
Things that sell well are products that solve major problems people have. Problem like making more money, losing weight, meeting people. Those type of products are the easier to market and sell, and pretty much sell for as much as you want to sell them for (as long as you hype up the perceived value). You could probably make some money selling discount hotel/vacation tickets on ebay, or your own website.
Things about making money and health always sell.Like of today the AH1N1 virus spreading the whole world needs a cure.
You know what they say...."Sex sells." So i guess the adult industry is the most lucrative when it comes to the internet.
