How much meta tags are important for a site and what is the percentage of webmasters who are using them for their sites?

 

99% webmaster using meta tags and meta tags giving direction to your website on your targeted keywords and help to get ranking on that keyword which you want

but Some of the webmasters are saying that they are valueless for a site at this time and no more webmasters are using meta tags for their site is it true????

 

There are meta tags, which are not much more important for seo use, even Meta keyword also, not important,

some of the webmaster do not want to allow other webmaster to see on which keywords they are targeting the business.

But it may happen, it become useful in future, who knows se's algo and stratergy.
It could be change, so better to use them.

 

I think meta tags are not weighted much lately but it can still help your site. It can help not only in spiers but in human visitors also.

 

these days meta tags are created not for spiders but for humans ..

 

I totally agree with you, meta tags are the first step of search engine optimization in my opinion.
