what script(s) do you use for directory web sites?

    I'm just wondering...

    Did you roll your own?
Did you buy a professional one?
Did you use open source alternatives?

I want to get a general idea of how these sites are made, might jump into one myself.

    Let the polls begin...

I am a user of many directory scripts, the directory scripts I am using are the follows; phpLD v3, IndexU and phpLB. I have had directories based on many other scripts out there, and lots of scripts to suit your needs. I would suggest having a look at the ones mentioned above, they are all great.

I think most directories are running phpLD. eSyndicat is next in line, but their market share is much less then phpLD.

If you are thinking of getting a directory going, consider the support, templates, and mods available with phpLD. They just released version 3.3 a day or so ago, so it's a good time to start a directory. :)

    Best wishes

phpLD for my general directories, phpLB for two of my bid directories and LBS for another bid directory.
