Hi Guys, Just wanted the opinion of the community on this one. I've developed a system, where I can get NON Permanent Do-follow one way links to my site. i.e. I get say 5 links everyday (but these are not permanent, last for only a couple of weeks). The links are all from different C-class IPs. I am doing an experiment at the moment. So, what do you guys think, what kind of an effect will this have on a site, if the system works for say three months: 1. Google will think I am manipulating, and sandbox the site 2. Google will think, I am getting new links from different places every day so, will rank me higher 3. The links will have no value, also Google will NOT penalize my site becuase these are ONE WAY LINKS. Let me have your thoughts, and the reason as to why you think so.
Can you describe your system in more detail? In general, "link churn" is supposed to be bad for your site's SEO. For example, Google may decide that you are spam-dropping your links and they are getting removed. I would test this on a test site (not your main site) for at least 6 months before deciding it might be useful for your site. My guess is that these links should not hurt you (otherwise you could use your system on your competitors), but they probably won't help a lot either. It's hard to say more without more information.
I agree with the above poster. Since there is no evidence of this method being beneficial, i would try it on a dummy site and see what type of results I would get. If it works and notice a big change in your result, write the system, make it in to a book and either sell it or give it away for free in return of collecting emails.....
Basically, the system gets me temporary links from thousands of sites (all different C-Class IPs). All links will be natural (i.e. different anchor texts, to different URLs on my site - inner pages, main page, and the links will be built slowly - 5 or say 8 links per day) So, the only issue is that these links would vanish after some time, i.e. 15 days or say 30 days. I agree to what you said, that Google may think I am spamming, and hence my links are getting deleted. However, I want to mention, that my site is on a DIFFERENT IP and I am NOT linking back to any of these sites that link to me, i.e. all are ONE WAY links. Therefore, I do not think (in theory) that it will hurt my site in any way (if it would, then anyone would do this on their competitors). I am doing an experiment, with an old site (not my main site), and I'll be posting the results. This system would build links on a continuous basis, i.e. 5 links per day, as long as I want it to. So, I think as long as I keep the system running, I'll be rising in rankings. Now, if this truly works, it'll be a revolutionary system, and I'll probably release it to the public. Anyways, those are just plans for now. It's experiment time, lets see what happens.
