There seem to be a tremendous amount of payment processors. Each providing a very complex set of fees. Researching merchant services I have not seen so many fees before. If I try to lower one fee, the agent immediately seems to find another that should be raised instead. After thinking and learning about it some, I've come to the conclusion that given the type of my business, I can become a reseller of merchant services and payment gateways instead. My mission has got yet more complex. I need to find the one that is cheapest for the reseller (me), and gives the best profit possibility. What programs are there? How much is each program giving? What training and support do they provide? If you have information about any such reseller program, your input is very welcome ! Certainly, becoming an ISO/MSP later on is a nice thought. I'm also looking for people who have made this journey already, and who would like to share their knowledge. But does that begin with a reseller account, or how does that roadmap look like? thank you
Easiest way is to become a sales agent for an ISO/MSP. You can then sell the processing and gateway services to your customer. Just about every MSP has a sales agent program. A lot of the details and pricing are determined in how much support you plan on providing your customers, or if you want to be more of a sales channel and let the MSP handle everything.
