Jeremy, I respect your intellect too much to continue this circular discussion.

    Have a very nice day.

Yeah, me to. I'm real surprised that Giuliani is doing so well. It is absolutely amazing. I mean, if he goes up against Hillary, he is as good as finished....Ron Paul is the only candidate that has a chance.

Ron who? Come on... I'm assuming you are joking, but judging from some of the dumb posts you make here, I would have to also assume that you are not joking.

Hillary will get the nomination, that much is sure.. The dems have nothing else to offer in the way of a good candidate. However, Hillary will not get elected. I have a feeling she will win 2 states, and neither will be Arkansas or New York..

Ron Paul is not even on the radar... No one has heard of him, the news never talks about him, and the dems do not seem to have him in their debates.. Are you sure he is actually running?

Ron Paul is polling at 4%. Apparently some people have heard of him.

And the news is really starting to crank up coverage on him.

The proof we have that he is actually running, is that he is raising more net money than the other GOP candidates save Giuliani.

Ron Paul has a very good chance of winning. You have to remember that the average American is fed up with the current Republican administration and would most likely not want another Republican; thus giving the Dems the advantage at the white house.

If the Dems blow it by nominating Hillary or someone else we don't like, the tide could easily blow back to the Republican side. But we still don't want another idiot Texan Republican in there. Who else would be a dramatic change from Bush besides a Dem? No one. People want big change now but they don't necessarily want a nutty overspending Democrat in there either especially with the huge debt we have.

Ron Paul easily appeals to many on the left and right.

Thats a broad view but I can see it happening.

That's barely on the radar... Anyway, where did you get that number? This month I see USA Today, ARG, CNN, Fox News, NBC, and Pew with him at 1%.

I see Gallup around 2.7% this month, but over all, barely 1% on average overall...

Hell, Fred Thompson just barely joined the race and is at 25%...

    Like?

    Again, source?

FYI, Ron Paul's total receipts are just about 3 million bucks. He's spent $655k, and has about 2.3 Mil left.

I'd say he is behind more than Giuliani.. Hell, Romney has made 10 million more than Rudy. Hell, Ron Paul is even behind Brownback in the money standings..

Where do you get your sources?

For the record, Ron Paul is not a conservative. He may attempt to run under a GOP ticket, but he is anything but a conservative. He is a leftist libertarian, liberal nut job. He is running under the GOP because the dems are too conservative for him, and he knows running under his own party he does not stand a chance.. He's only in this to make some noise. Sadly, he is failing at that. No one knows who he is, nor do they care...

Mia, you are going to eat your words in October when fundraising results come in. Ron Paul will get free publicity based solely on how amazing his numbers are. Watch! I guarantee it. You won't believe me, so luckily you gotta wait less than a week to show me wrong.

Since you continue to resort to rejecting reality and absolutely ignore my requests for you to cite sources to your outrageous claims, I will simply ost a direct link to make things easier for you.

Simple point your mouse to this link:

    http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/index.asp

    Now click on it.

Let me know when Ron Paul comes close to hauling in 45 million bucks.. You really think he will surpass that by October? I'd be surprised if he hits the 5 million mark.

Still waiting for you to cite your sources on your numbers claims...

I can guarantee you that Paul has already exceeded $5 million, and the total income isn't relevant, it's how much NET finance they can generate. For instance, Romney brought in a ton of money in Q2, but he had to lend his campaign $8 million to stay in the black at one point. Look at how much McCain is bringing in, and how much he is spending. Likewise, true fringers like Hunter and Tancredo.

If Paul goes into the New Year with momentum and $15 million, as well as the massive national volunteer base, he only has to win the Republican nod, and then it's a two horse race with Hillary.

Remember, if money is all that counted, Ross Perot would have won.

I would call 14% of all Republican donations from individuals in Q2 growth. I would call the number of national media articles and interviews growth. I would call quadrupling the Q1 income in Q2 growth, and I would call the current fund raising drive of almost $100k per day growth.

But hey, you like moldy cheese, I like moldy cheese. Let's just be friends.

This I do not have a source for...I'll let guerilla prove this one.

Not really any particular source for this, just have to turn on the TV, look in the paper, or browse the internet.

From Q1 Results page, and from Q2 Results page of FEC Quarterly filings:
    Q1: $640,544.00
    Q2: $2,369,452.95
Growth: 370%...ok so not 400%. But pretty close.

http://www.ronpaul2008.com has on their front page a fundraiser drive started yesterday afternoon. So far, we are at about $200,000, and it's not even the end of the day.
$200,000/2 days = $100,000/day. And let's see how much it is later tonight when everyone gets home from work.
