Of all the religions out there, which one has done the most killing in the name of their god?

It's not any particular religion who causes killing and terror.

It's the people and their misconceptions which leads to killing & terrorism.
Because, no religion will teach anyone to kill, spread terrorism, rob others and any other harmful activity.

There is plenty killing, terror, and all sorts of things done in the name of religion or a god, don't kid yourself. Sure, you can say the religion did not do it, but religion does nothing without people.

I would agree with sherytiger. There is already enough of religion bashing. Those fanatics who kill because they thought that God asked them to call should be left burning in hell for eternity.

Such threads are just an excuse for it to evolve into a particular religion bashing thread again.

If someone kills the queen in the name of kitkats, does that mean kitkats are responsible? No...it is the person

People kill people not religion, so maybe the title is off a bit but how many people have died or killed people in the name of the "kitkats"?

Sure people kill other people without regard to religion. However, many people have been killed in the name of religion.

Ok, guns don't kill people. People kill people.

How many people have been killed in the name of a religion or a god?

What religion has the biggest bodycount?

IMHO killing in the name of religion does not mean that tha particular religion is invoived in any of the killings. Can I know what is your motive in opening this thread?

As you yourself admitted, guns don't kill, but people kill people. Likewise, religion don't kill, it is people kill people

I would agree with sweetsara on this.

By definition, killing in the name of a religion means the religion had something to do with it.

Uh, I'm a person on a forum, not a religion. Let's not take my OP too far off topic. Which religion, or people that believe in a religion have done the most killing in the name of their god?

If your concept of a person on a forum and religion are the same, I am not going to argue with you. :D

Killing is often done under the cloak of a religion. But it's not about religion or because of religion. It's about land, resources, and power. The question might be "Which religion is most often used as an excuse for killing?"
But it doesn't matter. People who kill are evil. Trying to hide behind your religion as an excuse for killing is evil. Trying to stir up conflict between people by pointing out religious differences is evil. Instead look for the similarities, and encourage people of all religions, as well as non believers, to just get along.

I like your attitude! Sorry for the "argue" comment, it was not warranted.

LMAO.You asked the same question in so many way.Did you do some research on making this type of question?
I think you better ask-"People from which religion did the most killing?"
No religion taught killing and did killing, its the people who did it.So if you have to blame then blame those people. And IMO a killer has no religion.
