A registry cleaner is very much required for windows. We install and uninstall many programs. Even after uninstall their registry entries are there. So doing regular registry cleaning makes windows work faster and smooth.

I thought in the same way Abhik. But give it a try to CCleaner as it works great and you also feel some speeds of your system.

I use ccleaner and Eusing registry cleaner. Both are free. Eusing gives you the option to back up your registry first so if any problems you can revert back easily. Also use pcpitstop now and again to see how efficient pc is running.

Never used a reg cleaner before. I just re-install my OS from scratch.

Thanks for starting this thread. I was looking for a good free registry cleaner myself. All of the ones that I've found let you scan for free but in order to fix the problems that they found you had to buy the upgraded version. I just downloaded CCleaner since a few people recommended that and it worked great.
